Use of the Midlands Trends Database - Advanced Search

Advanced Search is only available to Upgraded users.

Below is a screen-shot of the Midlands Trends real estate sales database Search form along with descriptions below of how to utilize the database:



  • County: Allows you to narrow your search to only Richland, only Lexington or both counties.

  • Sale Date: Click the calendar icon to the right of the fields to select the range of sales dates from the pop-up calendar:
  • Price: Sales price range

  • Buyer / Seller: Enter the full or partial name for the Grantor or Grantee.  For example, entering "Smith" into one of these field will return sales including both "Smith, Edwards", "Edwards Smith" and "James, Smith and Lawson LLP"

  • Property Type: Click the selection icon to the right of the field to select from various property types.  Note that these property types are derived from land use codes and zoning information provided by the respective counties.
  • Zip Code: Click the selection icon to the right of the field to select from multiple zip code areas.  Note that the zip code selects a range of tax map numbers that fall within or near that zip code; it is not an exact selection based on mailing address.  For example a property with a 29072 mailing address may appear within a search including zip code 29033 since they are neighboring geographic areas.
  • City: Click the selection icon to the right of the field to select from multiple cities.  Note that the city selects a range of tax map numbers that fall within or near that location; it is not an exact selection based on mailing address or jurisdiction.  For example a property in Leesville may appear within a search including the city of Lexington since they are neighboring geographic areas.
  • Tax Map Number: Enter the full or partial tax map number. For example, entering "00182" into one of these field will return all sales of tax map numbers beginning with or containing 000182.

  • Property Location: Enter the partial street address of a property.  For example, enter "Two Notch" to show all sales along Two Notch Road.

  • Owner Address: Enter the partial mailing address of a property owner.  For example, enter "Atlanta" to show all property owners with a mailing address containing Atlanta.

  • Acres: Range of land size, not available on some smaller acreage properties (generally under .5 acres).

  • Year Built: Enter a earliest and latest four digit year, not available on some commercial Lexington properties.

  • Bathrooms: Enter a minimum and maximum number of bathrooms (including half-baths by entering 1.5, 2.5, etc.), generally not available on commercial properties.

  • Bedrooms: Enter a minimum and maximum number of bedroom, does not apply to commercial properties.

  • Stories: Enter a minimum and maximum number of building storied, only available for Richland properties.
     
  • Heated SF: Enter a minimum and maximum square footage range, not available on some commercial Lexington properties.

  • Assessors Land Value: Enter a minimum and maximum dollar amount.

  • Assessors Improvement Value: Enter a minimum and maximum dollar amount.

  • Zoning: Enter zoning codes such as "PDD", "RS-LD", "RU", etc.; only for Richland properties.
     
  • Zoning Details: Enter zoning descriptions such as "Residential", "Planned Development District", "Rural", etc.; only for Richland properties.

  • Land Use Code: Click the selection icon to the right of the field to select from various county property description types.
  • Deed: Enter a partial deed book and page such as "R1415", "12795-223", "12803", etc.
